I have thought about this as my resolution also. I have lots of cool supplies, but I tend to spend more of my time buying stuff instead of using it. I really need to change this trend, and I'm keeping your post where I can see it daily to remind me to get off my duff and DO something. Thanks!!

A few years ago I was in Atlanta visiting my college roommate and we walked into the Paper Source. I had never been into this store before and I was a little excited….okay, maybe A LOT excited. As I scanned the arrangements of beautiful papers and stamps, my mind raced with possibilities of all the things I could create! I love it when a store does that to me…my wallet ~ not so much! :)
Anyway from that trip, I found this stamp and have kept it on my shelf to inspire me as I work in my studio.
With the new year, comes a bit of reflection, promises and goals. I looked up at this stamp the other day and was inspired to pledge to "do something creative every day". It doesn't always have to be art ~ after all ~ cooking a new meal is creative, rearranging your home is creative, making a card, writing a poem or short story, making a scrapbook page, etc.
So in 2014 I am pledging to try and do something creative every day. Here is a pix of my calendar so far.
Now, with that said, I am not going to beat myself up if I don't, but instead I am going to reward myself with a little stamp (like you got in grade school) for achieving success!!
